OMG a post after more than 3 months!!

Brian emailed me saying that he's glad to see that I still have voted - meaning that is the last thing I've written about - and so I promised him an update. And here it is:

I purposely did not write in here during Nov and Dec because I ended up going to war (in court) with Nick. See, the neurotic/delusional state of affairs that we call his mind somehow came up with the idea to not pay me 2 months of rent and break his lease. Normally I would just say that is a severly dickish thing to do, after all, he lived there, happy home or not. BUT he became a mega-asshole about it (yes even after Mike drove us home and we drageed him inside from face down in the flower bed and set him up with my puke bucket on his 21st bday) and told me that this is all in his best interest and it's "just business." I call this the "My name is Nick Syndrome" which basically means "My name is Nick and so I'm allowed to live for free and the world should get down on its knees and thank the heavens that I am me." That's when it became war and I evicted him. The crazy thing is, he whole-heartedly believes that he hasn't done anything wrong and that I'm the one who is cheating him - even though I'm the one in big time credit card debt over it. Bleh, this started the week after Seth found my bag and up til the end of the year, was such a stressful drag. Multiple court hearings, tons of court fees and process server fees, blah blah blah. I don't wanna talk about it. But my point was that that ordeal was about the only thing on my mind and I didn't want to say something that I'd regret later in court. It has somewhat of a happy ending, ask me if you care enough to.

About the end of November I got a new roommate off roommates.com. His name is Mike and his hobbies remind me a lot of Brian, ie. wrestling, beer, football. I barely ever see him because he works when I'm home, I work when he's sleeping, etc. If I haven't mentioned it yet, I've almost became accustomed to being awake in the morning. At first it was solely because of Mike that I got up before noon. But now that we don't hang out in the morning or daytime, I guess I can't blame him anymore. I tend to go to sleep around 1-2am now instead of 4-5am....that'll do it. Anyhoot, its similar to living alone except that there are tons of empty beer cans and empty beer boxes in the kitchen at all times. I was skeptical about him at first (especially since that 3rd floor just turns ppl into big meanie heads) but he's turned out to be really great; pays on time - usually way early, and is easy to get along with. His friends are a different story, but I barely see them once a week if that, so whatever, I don't care.

Miguel moved at the end of December to go live with his brother. Milo missed him soooooooooooooo much. He stopped grooming himself for several days and was constantly either sitting in the empty room or *gasp* coming to me for attention and even sleeping on my bed again. Of course his pride takes over when Miguel comes to visit and he acts like he doesn't even care that Miguel wants to pet him. Baby goes into total purr/sweet kitty mode when Miguel comes back. Neither of us realized how much Baby liked Miguel...I mean he bitched like crazy whenever Miguel touched him....weirdo cat.

Baby had his 12th birthday on Groundhog's Day last week. We (me and the pets) gathered round to sing happy birthday and serve delicious special canned food (that Milo can eat). They really go ape-shit over it but its not good for their teeth in big quanities so its a special treat on special days only. The day before this, Stripe, one of my rats, died. She was well groomed and not sick, it was quite a sad shocker. My only clue was that 2 days before, she was hacking a lot, I thought it was just a hairball.

Bush won the election. That's all I'm going to say. I've done enough public and private ranting. But OMG!! Have you actually listened to his speeches? He contradicted himself repeatedly just in his State of the somethingorother Speech alone. Monkeys can fly in space AND be president....whodathunkit? The Daily Show episode where he was sworn in again was the funniest episode I've ever seen, I was literally in tears. Man, I wish I had taped it!!!

I've seen 2of3 LOTR movies....that's more than I can say for the progress of watching the Star War movies. If you don't already know, I want to be the oldest person who sees them in numerical order. So, I'll get around to watching them whenever the 3rd one gets finished and release on DVD, well maybe. I always did promise Brian I'd watch them with him since he's prolly one of the biggest SW fan ever. It's scary really... :)

There's a bunch more new stuff but I have 15 minutes to walk from Goldwater to Gammage for my class - I'll be cutting it quite short. My class is ASU's Women's Choir, our first concert is this Friday. If you want to come watch me, lemme know, its at 7:30. Bye for now. Sending lots of love to Mike, we are going to be spending a 2nd Valentine's holiday together and it will be super no matter what we do, I know it.
