I applied to a genetic non-profit research company today, that is my major accomplishment at work for the day. Also, I called the Southwest Autism Research Center to talk to them about a job. The person I need to talk to isn't in today so hopefully she'll call me back tomorrow. I didn't realize that she is the executive director and is friends with my mom...hopefully nepotism will work to my advantage for once.
Hmm, so I spent much time over the weekend painting the door and frame to Nick's room. Painting was Saturday, then on Sunday I removed the painter's tape on the fixtures and cleaned them up and spent another hour and a half putting spackle in the cracks between the wood on the door frame where the paint didn't cover. Gonna paint over the spackle on Thursday and then my painting project will be complete! Mwahahaha! Oh, and I discovered some white paint on my bathroom faucet this morning...gotta clean that. Even though you'll never notice all the work I put into this project, you will notice that it looks nice and not like an unfinished ghetto door from home depot. Been meaning to do this since last December so I feel accomplished. I have other projects in my head...but not enough funds ATM.
AC is busted again, been so since Friday night. They are coming tomorrow hopefully. Ima bitch at them to give me a new inside unit because this bullshit AC problem has got to stop. At least the death heat is abating.
Also, I've noticed on the weekly emails I get on this site's statistics, that whenever I post, there is about 3 times as many hits on the same day. I want to know how you people know I've posted!! Get outta my mind you aliens! Or do you have some sorta "Michelle posted" listserv?
