The Inner Workings of a Very Complicated Cheeze.

The wonderful thing about sugar-free Red Bull is that when spilled and wiped up, it didn't leave my desk all sticky. Thanks Mike!

Unfortunately it tends to leave a pee-like stain on telephone subject screening sheets....especially the kind that are already filled out :(

Job is going well though it makes me very sleepy. I took on the 8 hour randomization visit (the most in depth and longest visit for my studies) for 2 of Arslan's subjects yesterday by myself and it went swimmingly. I also accidently overheard the CEO and another girl talking about how great I am... happy vibes!

My birthday is coming up...I should get a nice present from Brady who is now the richest man I know *wink wink*! Party details to be announced soon - it'll be the first one at my house since last year.

Currently I'm renovating the upstairs bathroom the cheap way - where I am the labor. It's going slow and it's a lot of work, but it's gonna look sooooo nice!

Talk more later!

Internet has been on and off at home for quite a while now and so I couldn't post. My main computer is completely screwed because of things frying while I had no AC for 7 weeks. And speaking of which, even after 7 weeks of the firey temperatures of hell, replacing the entire outside unit for a 2nd time in a year and a half, and a whole bunch of money down the drain, it stopped working AGAIN. Been out over a week now and I'm starting to seriously consider selling this place because this is just fucking retarded. At least the AC ppl finally showed up today...I can hear him stomping around on the roof right now. So maybe tonight will be a pleasant sleeping night. I think I handle getting extremely few hours of sleep better than getting 9 hours of crappy sleep because of the heat. Currently I still need to buy a new cable modem but for now I'm on someone elses wireless network here at home because I finally fixed my laptop - with great help from Ang.

So other than the ac and other random things breaking, things have been going well. I miss Mike a lot because even though he doesn't do anything all day, our schedules don't match. We haven't spent any time on the weekend together in almost a month because either he is out of town or I am...mostly him though. The trip to Vegas was horribly sucky. Before we left, the other people decided to eat at Whataburger and I got food poisoning. Threw up 4 times in the car on the way up there, but not a drop on the inside of the car thank goodness. Spent that night in the hotel room throwing up somemore. But the 2.5 hour bath in the tub meant for 5 people was the only good thing really. By Saturday night all the indoor smokers were really getting to me and my asthma was so bad I had to cut short everything and lock myself up in the hotel room again. My lungs from then on were pretty much burning all the time. But I think the worst of all was that it was implied to me by the other people that I went with that I was faking it and being a "bitch" on purpose. Needless to say, I was quite happy to be going home as soon as possible at the end of the weekend.

But back to happy things. Today is the best kind of Friday, the kind where it's the end of the work week AND it's pay day. New job has been going great. I got matched up with drug studies that I am interested in, namely the central nervous system. I'm a backup research coordinator for a transdermal pain med patch for lower back pain and tennis elbow. It's really fun. Even though I have to get up at 5:45 every morning and commute for a half hour, I enjoy going to work every day. I feel so prestigious...I have a desk, business cards, voice mail, a rolodex, and pictures of my kitties on the wall to my right. I finally have a career that is right in line with what I've always wanted to do. It's a great feeling. And I should be out of credit card debt by next week. At this moment I'm finishing the token apple sauce that's been in the fridge for a very long time. The reason this is a monumental occasion is that it was the only food I had in my fridge and freezer several months ago and was selling plasma to afford going grocery shopping. Everytime I looked in the fridge, I'd see the apple sauce and realize just how bad my monetary situation was. As of today, my first salary pay day at the new job, I'm eating the apple sauce as a gesture that things are getting better and will *knock on wood* stay that way.

Things have been calming down and I'm trying to finish all these projects I've got in my mind. Hopefully I can host a party soon...my quarter of a century birthday is coming up soon, that is a reason to get completely plastered with my friends whom I feel like I haven't seen in forever. I do miss working with and seeing my friends everyday, but I sure don't miss ASU and its tuition/parking/politics bs.

I have a lot more freetime now that I'm gone from ASU. Email me, we'll hang out. Any DDR challenges are welcome, I have gotten much much better...almost had an AA in Rhythem & Police on light mode yesterday.

Post more later, it's nap time now.
